The answer is best explained by elaborating on the original idea;
The Ethos of 4ALLofUS is our ethical guide, a sort of roadmap to help us to make decisions as an organisation, but it can be so much more.
Imagine what the world would be like if all decisions were made with only ethical choices in mind, when groups, individuals, families, communities decided what to do for the betterment of not just themselves, but others too.
4ALLofUS are demonstrating to the world that progress does not have to be for profit, nor does it have to be at the expense of others or our environment and the more successful we are, the more likely it is that others too will adopt an Ethos based approach.
Do we need money?
At the moment 4ALLofUS is a low cost project and the 'Admin Team' are able to cover the minimal costs between us.
4ALLofUS is a not-for-profit project, aka there never was and never will be any intention of making money for ourselves.
If there is a need to generate funds to cover the costs of a project or undertaking that is greater than we can afford already then it will be up to us as a community to determine how best to do this on a not-for-profit basis, but this is a bridge that we have no intention of crossing any time soon!
If you want to make a donation please find an appropriate charity and give generously.
There are strict guidelines when it comes to adding content to the 4ALLofUS Website and there are 'automated features' built into this website that reduce the likelihood of deliberate disregard for said guidelines. If all else fails we have a dedicated 'Admin Team' ready to correct any shortcomings.
First and foremost all content,
be it written, audio, video, image/graphics, documents, files, links,
usernames.... in effect anything that you the user/member can add to
this website MUST be in keeping with the Aims and Ethos of
4ALLofUS.
Hateful, criminal/incitement, negative prejudicial,
flaming, spamming, racism, promoting violence, pornography and other
exploitative materials are obvious examples of content that is not
appropriate.
There is an emphasis on quality
on the 4ALLofUS Website, that is quality over quantity. It is
for this reason that the website is pre-configured to only allow content
with a specified 'minimum word count' to be published. If the
'minimum word count' is not met when attempting to publish the website
will prompt you and give the the opportunity to rectify the problem.
There is no need to refer back to this list. Each publishing form has the relevant info displayed at the top of your screen.

Article = 200 min
Blog = , it is your blog! BTW Blogs are only featured in your own profile and are not added to the keywords or groups.
Event = 100 min
Image = 100 min
Link = min, title and url are mandatory.
NEW Group = 200 min
Podcast = 100 min
Video
= 100 min
Comments have a guideline of
10 words minimum but will only be enforced via flagging / instant
deletion.
A well-constructed reply/comment of less than 10 words
will never be considered for moderation.
If you copy + paste content
from ANYWHERE
it must be placed within quotes with the
original source: properly mentioned
The website is not
smart enough to not count 'quotes' YET but the 'Admin Team' and
'Moderators'
are.
If your 'none-quote' contribution does not meet or come very
close
to the 'minimum word count' it will be deleted and your membership will
be flagged. A 'quote is not considered to be your contribution in this
context. Describing why you have shared said quotes, what your opinion
or
extended findings are is usually more than adequate.
To
clarify;
Quoting 10,000 words and writing 4 to describe it would
register as '4' by the 'Admin Team' who would log/flag/delete.
Every deletion will be sent to the 'Log' and 3 logs in a month will edit an account to read-only for 1 month. The read-only status will then increase by 1 month each time this unfortunate intervention takes place. 1,2,3,4,5 months read-only for clarity.
'Report as inappropriate' buttons initiate the same automated process.
If you upload any content to
the 4ALLofUS Website / sub-/domains / servers you MUST either be
the creator/owner and/or have the appropriate permission to share
said upload/s. This condition does not apply to content that you link
to on other websites. It is your responsibility to remain innocent and
it is the responsibility of other website owners / managers to not share
illegal materials, not ours.
Content can only be added to a 'Group' on the 4ALLofUS Website.
We recognise that this is restrictive of sorts, but so are forums and blogs that are broken into categories. The difference is that the groups here are created and managed by our members so you or anyone else with a membership account can create their own group.

You can start your own group and invite all of your friends / team mates, comrades to join you, there is a feature that is easy to use. You can then screen all information that is added to your group

The 4ALLofUS Chatrooms have 2 parts, both created and freely available from 'Teamspeak'.
1. Server
2. Client
The Server, we installed it on one of our 'web servers' and it is running 24/7. The server is capable of catering for over 500 people at any given time and we have the server space and bandwidth to provide extra's such as file sharing and offline/private messaging.
The info you need to connect to our server with the client is as follows;
Address: chat.4ALLofUS.com
Port: 9987 (default client port)
There is nothing else that you need to know about the server. We maintain it and whenever you want to connect to it you can. You will need the 'Address & Port' when you have downloaded and installed the client.
The client is very similar to many other VOIP / IM programs so if you have used other similar services before, mumble, ventrilo, skype, aim, msn asterisk you will quickly become familiar with the initial setup.
1. Download and install Teamspeak 3 (from here)
2. The first time you run the program after install it will 'walk you through' the audio setup wizard. The process is quite straight forward. Select your mic, your earphones/speakers and push-2-talk button / voice activation levels.
3. CLICK THIS LINK and you will be connected to our server. You can also 'Connect Manually' using the 'Address & Port' above.
Once you are connected you can click 'Bookmarks > Add to bookmarks' at the top of the client to remember the server
info that is provided above
There are lots of extended features but to connect there really is not much more to it. The setup time will likely be no more than 5 minutes and will never need to be done again.
The 4ALLofUS Chatrooms are self-moderating. There are people with the ability to administrate but it was decided early on that the better approach is for the community to administrate it's self. This is not as difficult as it might first seem because teamspeak makes it easy to mute/ignore/block other people but so far there has been little, if any need to do this.
