On July 27, 2010 Matthew of Leeds was violently attacked and sustained serious head injuries. As a result, Matthew could not speak, read, write, nor walk.
It was at CHAPELALLERTON HOSPITAL that Matthew was slowly and patiently brought back to a semblance of the health he has today. Although his left arm is useless, and walking is difficult, he continues to strive for the best life he can give himself.
On the anniversary of the attack, July 27, 2011, Matthew will be walking in charitable support of CHAPELALLERTON in hopes that people will see his efforts and realize how grateful we should be to this hospital for their expert, caring attention.
