At the heart of all our mideast mess stands one fact: most people are the same, they want to earn a living, care for their families and live in peace. Only one area of the populace fights this scenario: government.
Ask anyone living on the border of Pakistan and Afghan, I’m sure they could direct you fairly accurately to Mr. bin Laden’s open-air lair. He isn’t hiding, I think he feels he doesn’t have to. I think Tora Bora has been rebuilt and he’s back settled in nicely.
Just a thought, but as long as the imaginary bogeyman is alive and well, our governments will have carte blanche to continue covert illegalities and be able to blame the Taliban, et als., by any other name. Why would we kill off another golden egg-laying goose? Saddam’s hanging seemed to placate most peace-loving folks.
